Terms of use

Using this site means accepting these terms
By using this site you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree with them, the honest answer is simply not to use the site. Nothing here is hidden or surprising, and there is no arbitration clause.
This site is unofficial
This is a fan-made project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Iron Gate Studio AB or Coffee Stain Publishing. Valheim, and any associated names, marks and assets, are the property of their respective owners. We use no official artwork, logos or game assets.
The tools are provided as-is
Everything here is offered without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Specifically: map predictions derived from a seed may not match your in-game world, because world generation depends on the version a world was created in, on whether mods altered generation, and on whether the world predates a game update that reshuffled locations. Use a preview as a planning aid, not as a promise.
The seed extractor reads the files you give it and reports what it finds. It is designed to say "I cannot read this" rather than guess, but it is still software, and software has bugs. Always keep a backup of any save file before working with it, and never work directly on your only copy.
No liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site — including lost game progress, corrupted saves, or decisions made on the basis of a generated map or a guide. Keeping backups is your responsibility.
What you may do here
You may use these tools for personal, non-commercial purposes: plan your own builds, read your own seeds, look up commands, and share links to the site freely. Automated scraping, bulk downloading, or republishing the content of this site as your own is not permitted.
Intellectual property
The text, layout, code and original graphics of this site belong to the site. The world metadata file format we parse was reverse-engineered by the community and published under the MIT licence, which permits that kind of reuse; where we rely on such work we credit it in the source note on the relevant page.
Third-party links
We link to outside references so that you can verify what we claim. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Changes
These terms may change as the site changes. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the updated terms.
